I grew up in rural Kentucky, where my parents homeschooled my three siblings and me until middle school. Sheltered from much of the world, we spent our time performing chores around the family farm, building tree forts, and reading adventure books. I've always marched to my own beat and always carried a zest to create exactly the life I wanted. In 2013, while in the United States Air Force, I made a five-year goal to generate a passive income stream substantial enough to pay for my basic necessities, allowing me the freedom to work toward something more than just a salary. Through that journey, I fell in love with travel and making friends worldwide, which led to me creating The Bourbon Bungalow. I have a love for learning, creating, sharing, and helping better the world In my own way. Currently, I'm 28 and living in NYC while I attend Columbia University.

I have lived in Michigan my whole life since mid-2019. After receiving my BA in Marketing from Michigan State University, I moved to downtown Chicago to work in software sales at Oracle. Though I learned a lot in my time there, the typical corporate environment was just not for me. When I moved to Phoenix in May 2021, I realized how important it is to do work you enjoy and to be around people who are supportive and consistently uplifting. Ever since I was 11-12, I have always loved to create – whether it be editing gaming content, motion graphics, web design, or video production.

Though leaving a secure job with great pay and benefits was tough, everything is beginning to come together for me, and I’m enjoying the process. Currently, I help manage The Bourbon Bungalow and am getting more into freelance photo/video and anything graphic/motion design related. Instead of climbing the corporate ladder, now, my primary goal is to be fully self-employed within the next two years. I enjoy meeting new people, learning new things, traveling, podcasts, and building brands through creativity.

Hi, we are Francisco and Ernestina Gonzalez. We were both born in Querétaro, Mexico. We are married with three children and one grandson. We are so proud of our family because with a big effort now our oldest son is a middle school teacher in our neighborhood school, our oldest daughter is working at the Maricopa County Superior Court, and our youngest daughter is at ASU with a full ride. It has been twenty-eight years since we have moved into this neighborhood; we love it. Both Francisco and I could not imagine living anywhere else. Phoenix is our home and where we have been living for more than half of our lives. Throughout the years we have become well acquainted with the neighborhood families. We are so glad to have met Abe. He is a great person, neighbor, and friend. We are always happy to help him as is necessary.
